About

Clinical Approach: I work with clients from the perspective of adult attachment research. Engaging treatment from an attachment theory perspective has enabled me to see that flexibility is critical and it’s important to meet clients where they are to help achieve healing. I am an integrative therapist, primarily drawing from Interpersonal, Relational/Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. I work only with adult clients for psychotherapy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bio: I earned my BA in psychology from the University of Kentucky and my Ph.D. from Howard University. I have experience working in the following clinical settings: VA Medical Centers, Private Hospitals/Treatment Centers and a State Psychiatric Hospital. I am honored to be a research affiliate of the Danielsen Institute at Boston University. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Research Project: "Attachment Neuroscience and Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Nonviolence Philosophy: Implications for the 21st Century and Beyond" Link to article: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/00957984211016236 Link to podcast: https://journals.sagepub.com/jbp/podcast_collection/psychology_of_black_activism_21st_century
